Correction

When I said Melly was snuggling with me, that may not have been totally accurate. It was really more like eating my pajamas...

...and hugging her own leg.

Melly? Chewing on clothes that are being worn?!!?! My well-gnawed pants and I are SHOCKED!

Pajamas, kitten food...all grist for the Melly mill.

Has this caused her nickname to be "Nibbler?"

Natalie, dare I say you got one of the extra special special ones.

But then you already knew that.

Carmar: Oh, she has many nicknames, some more flattering than others. When she's in trouble, it's usually Tuxedo-Clad Hellbeast. I think I call her Beanie more than anything else, though. (It started as Melly Bean, like Jelly Bean. She probably thinks her real name is Beanie, at this point.)

Sue: I certainly did! Cats seem always to be charmingly eccentric, but Melly is an entirely new level of quirky.

Quirky is good. Great blog fodder, for sure! ;-)

Did you drop something good on your pj's that has Melly's interest or maybe she is part goat? Silly Melly!

That is so funny about the eating your pajamas thing. I hadn't ever heard of a cat doing stuff like that, but this weekend our new kitty Stella was doing that to me - and now to see Melly does it - too funny!

Sylvestermiasmomma: She certainly acts like she's part goat!

Amy: I suspect that Melly is teething (at least, I hope she's just teething...). She's the right age, and she seems to prefer bulky cotton and cardboard, which I've read is typical. Towels and jeans (and the occasional frozen washcloth) are her favorites.
