Salmon

Geoff had a very productive fishing trip a while back, and we've been well supplied with frozen vacuum-packed halibut and salmon ever since. I baked a piece of salmon for dinner the other day and ended up having to eat it standing in the middle of the kitchen since a certain two felines were very interested.

First there was this little acrobatic maneuver...

And then Melly fell off the chair (and I turned off the flash)...

Then Scarlett joined in the action...

Then I took pity and put a nibble of fish in each of their bowls. However, they were not sated...

Hahaha. Their faces are adorably ravenous. I especially love that last one of Melly!

Too cute! And, I have to say, I LOVE salmon so I'd be perched right there with them! Well, except I'm not a cat, so I'd actually just ask you to share. *laugh*

Just the photos I needed after a rough night at work...the girls are irresistable! I frequently have to stand up to eat my meals...mine both love scrambled eggs or omlettes...

I sincerely hope Melly got squirted for that last shot. Sitting on the table, forsooth!!!

Glad all three of my girls enjoyed the salmon. ;-)

The pics of food in the foreground and the cats in the background are hilarious. They could be bad motivational posters... "Strive and Aspire" etc.

Wow, some seriously "hungry" kitties! I've said this before, but Melly is getting so grown up!

That last pic of Melly is awesome. She's pretty sure if she stares long and hard enough, the salmon will come to her!

So funny!! At first glance, I thought Melly was levitating in that first picture, ha!!

Whenever I make tuna salad that's pretty much what happens with my two beasties.

Oh what determined kitties! I agree with Heidik, I thought Miss Melly was jumping up somehow. My tuxedo doesn't like human food but my tabby will do the same as these two furry friends.
