Staring Cat

The staring started this winter when Scarlett came home completely stoned from anesthesia after a teeth cleaning/dental surgery. The corner of the living room next to the TV suddenly became very fascinating.

I figured that once she sobered up, the staring would stop. Well, it has not.

To top it all off, she's found another spot to stare at.

The other day, she even had Melly doing it!

Creepy.

Love the first two comments.

I can't help but think they're chuckling at us. They look at a spot, we gaze at it....they must think we are pretty funny!

Oh the staring...I've had that experience as well. If it's fall, it's my first alert for decon placement in the attic (the woods may be lovely, dark & deep but as winter approaches...not so homey as a relatively warm attic). The rest of the year I just can't figure it out...poltergeists?

My cat does that, too. At first I would get worried that she was watching a bug or some other visible intruder, but no. :)

Humans! HMPH. Cats can see things that People can't!

I have always called it "seeing martians" when cats stare at absolutely nothing or so it seems to us. Maybe it is Angels they see that are telling them something. Who knows but it can be creepy especially at night after watching a scary movie.

Oh, how funny. Maybe she's seeing bugs (in her mind)? Who knows with cats.
