The Orchid

I received an orchid as a housewarming gift when I moved into this apartment, and ever since Melly's arrival, I've been finding teeny tiny teethmarks on the plant's leaves.

If Melly could whistle nonchalantly, I think that's exactly what she'd be doing:

Also, last night I was awakened by Melly as she attempted to snuggle further into my neck, and noticed that Melly was laying on Scarlett. Yes, on Scarlett. Oddly, Scarlett didn't seem to mind until I moved around a bit, at which point she growled and got down off the bed.

Peculiar...

LOL, I don't have any houseplants since Casper came into my life. He loves to eat plants and flowers and has taught Ben and Archie to do the same :-)

I love the pic of Melly trying to look so casual about the whole thing, like it is just a coincidence that she is sitting beside the orchid!

We have weird teethmarks appear on our plants too, but no one will take credit for them! And well, we have a lot of pile ons at our house - where there is someone sleeping on top of someone else. Usually it is the group that gets along well, but sometimes it is just an unsuspecting sibling who when they notice isn't too thrilled about it (a lot like Scarlett from the way it sounds).

I think Scarlett has her image to maintain in front of you. She simply cannot let you think that she might actually >gasp< like Melly.

Hehe, yes, Melly has quite the nonchalant look there, doesn't she hehehe

Teeny Tiny Teeth marks...maybe it's an immature orchid vampire in the house. We hear they're really bad this year...

Yup, it sounds like Melly is wearing Scarlett down. Hurrah!

Melly
Momma found out we liked to eat the plants when we first moved in, so she moved them all outside, so now we chew on her silk ones...

I have an orchid that still has tiny teeth marks from when Kitty Steve was a baby, 6 yrs ago. Orchids keep their leaves for a long time. Luckily Steve grew out her fascination with houseplants after a year. Yes, Steve is a girl:)

Oh Melly, you sassy girl! We too have an orchid, but fortunately no one bothers it.

Naughty Melly! No eating the plants! Eat the catnip not the plants. Love the comment about tiny vampire plant eaters.
