Sleepy Scarlett

Scarlett was sitting next to me on the couch and was being so sleepy and adorable that I couldn't resist taking pictures of her. (In the third picture, you can see that her chin is stained by the bright pink Hibiclens I'm still using to treat her acne.)

By the way, I ran into the neighbor cat outside yesterday, and while petting it, attempted to ascertain its sex. I'm pretty sure it's a boy (he was wiggling a lot, so it was hard to get a good look). Since I don't know his real name, we may need to come up with one for him...

The neighbor cat must be named Rhett. There's really no other choice.

P.S. I came here from Sue's PPBC blog, and I adored Sally from afar. Now, every time I check your blog and she's doing something crazy, I think "Oh Melvin!" ;)

Yep... Definitley Rhett, or Ashley since the sex isn't completely ascertained...

We haf ta vote fer callin the neighbor cat Ashley.

When The Big Thing read Marlene's comment "or Ashley since the sex isn't completely ascertained", he almos fell down laffing. He said he could nefer possibly explain THAT one to us, but that it was a really good choice.

Awwwww, so sweet. Two of us have stained chins from the Hibiclens now too. Our mom wets the cotton ball with water and then adds the cleanser before she scrubs our chins. Then it's a little diluted and doesn't stain us as much.

What a pretty girl that Scarlet is! Melly, too.

I think I'll vote for Ashley for the neighbour cat too.

I vote for Rhett; the neighbor cat is a wanderer, a roamer, an adventurer, and quite possibly a scoundrel peaking in the window at your two Southern Belles! Sometimes it seems from your posts that the names of your mischievous Melly and calm, serious Scarlett should be switched.

Love me some Scarlett.

I think Rhett is the perfect name, if you can ascertain he's a he. But I agree that Ashley is a good multi-purpose name. I was just explaining to my niece that Ashley used to be a male name....

And Scarlett looks so much like my sweet boy Vinnie, who I just lost. Give her a little cuddle for me, okay?
