Striking a Pose

I snapped about twenty pictures of a sleepy Melly in various positions on the couch. For the most part, she ignored me...

...but she got tired after a while:

"Being beautiful is exhausting."

It IS such a burden to be beautiful, isn't it? :-)

Nicki will let me take pics, as many as I like, and while he doesn't pose like my Chumley used to (he was a real ham, Chumley was!), he doesn't run from the camera. Annie and Derry, however, will hide from the camera--Annie in particular. I can usually get pics of Derry if I wait, but Annie just keeps hiding. I was belly-on-the-floor last night, camera zooming in on her with no flash, and she was under the coffee table. I think she felt she was invisible under there. LOL.

Melly you are such a cutie when you sleep! And there is something about a tuxie with their paws crossed like the top picture that just gets me every time!

Yes being beautiful is hard work, especially for those of us who have to work at it. Obviously Miss Melly you don't need to work at it. Just work the camera for your momma. Those out-stretched paws are just begging for kisses.

heh heh...our first thought was of cow-tipping! We love how Melly just fell over in place...

We're doing a contest tomorrow, come on over and play!

It may be exhausting to look that fetching, but Melly pulls it off and makes it look effortless. I echo everybody who says she has the most wonderful paws!
