Flashback Friday: Firsts

I've been working on organizing the pictures on my computer, and I found a bunch of pictures of Scarlett from her first couple of years with me. They're pretty cute, so I'll share them on the next few Fridays.

This is the first photo I ever took of Scarlett.

This is the first picture I ever took of a sleeping Scarlett. Note that her back half is falling off the bed.

This is the first time Scarlett went into heat (in the time I've had her). It is also the only time Scarlett went into heat (in the time I've had her).

On a related subject, this is the first picture of Scarlett after her ladygardenectomy.

This is the first picture of Scarlett in a feather boa. It is also the only picture of Scarlett in a feather boa.

I think it was Carnevale.

Scarlett does not look so grumpy in these early pictures. Did she develop her grumpy face in response to getting her picture taken or is it Melly based?

Bentley, Scarlett has had her grumpy face as long as *I* have known her, so either Natalie caught S in some non-grumpy moments or, gasp, maybe she met me and decided, "I am now a grumpy cat"

Bentley: Scarlett got pretty annoyed with me when she became an indoor-only cat, so that may have been the start of the grumpy faces. They seem to be occurring more frequently as she ages, although Melly's arrival has certainly also caused a marked increased in peevishness.

A lot of cats seem to increase in grumpiness as they age. My Emily certainly has; she's 15 now, and her grumpiness has increased exponentially to the point where we get chewed out constantly and loudly for all our failings, which of course are too numerous to mention. We've taken to calling her "Boss Lady" from the way she bosses us around! So just watch out, Scarlett is adding up your failings and they will only increase with time. Bringing the interloper home has been, of course, your most serious failing! :)

Haha, poor Scarlett, her entire family has given her a case of the grumpies. Good thing she has this blog as an outlet so she can show the world just how much she has to put up with from the people she loves:)

Aww, nice to see "vintage" Scarlett photos. You can almost see her shaved belly.
