Scarlett

I'm not sure why she looks so alarmed in this picture - Melly wasn't anywhere in sight at the time. Oh well.

As I was putting together this post, Scarlett puked in the hallway*, then slunk away attempting to look innocent. Melly came over and sniffed at the puddle, then attempted to bury it by pawing at the floor all around it. She then sat down a few inches away and stared at me until I'd cleaned it up. She gave the area a thorough sniffing before walking away.

*I think she just gobbled down her food too fast, but I'll be giving her some petramalt just in case.

Derry often eats too quickly and barfs it all back up within a few minutes, usually on the nearest carpeted surface. We hope that's all it was in Scarlett's case!

9 did the same thing last night! Except he managed to puke twice in about 2 minutes :(

Maybe it's sympathetic puking?

He was fine the rest of the night though. Hope Scarlett is the same!

We hope Scarlett is feeling better. Poor girl. Sometimes Moosey and Sammy eat too fast and barf, too.

Poor Melly....us boys do that a lot and our mama has always thought it had something to do with our long hair and the hairballs we get.....the food doesn't always have room until the hairballs are outta there!!!!!!!

Dear Scarlett,

I appreciated you, but I have a new appreciation for you after seeing you were once a rollicking, devil-may-care indoor/outdoor kitty. You're not just some crabby old dame who's never felt dirt on her pawpads. Girl, you lived! That having been said, my cats are only indoor just because I can't bear the thought that they might be plucked by an owl.

Peace,
Cynthia

P.S. Barfing : cats :: sneezing : humans == no big deal.

Well, Cats can see thinks we humans can't. Like invisible monsters.

Oh, Scarlett, you do look alarmed! I hope your tummy is OK and it was just one of those things.

First thing out of bed this morning Abby had to hack up a hairball...at least I was able to get her off the carpet and onto the hard wood.

It happens.
We hope Scarlett is fine.

We hope Scarlett is okay! We don't puke very much but we try to bury it too when we do.

Over here, every last one of us has horked up a hairball this week. And we didn't even ask to be rewarded for our good work.

I hope she is feeling better today. We get that sometimes here too. I do think it's cute that Melly tries to cover it up. Ours will just try to eat it, yuuuucky.

Every now and then I find barf. I think one of my two kitties eat too fast. Any weight changes and there would be a vet visit.
