Happy Gotcha Day, Melly!

Yesterday was the first anniversary of Melly's arrival at chez Natalie, which was also the first anniversary of this blog. Melly, as many of you know, started out as Sally Dickens on Pitter Pats of Baby Cats.

I used to coo and squee over the adorable baby kitties on Sue's blog on a daily basis, and even though I was happy with Scarlett as an only cat, something about tiny, precocious Sally just called out to me. And so, little Sally came to live with me, was quarantined in the bathroom, and was renamed Melly.

If you've been with us since the beginning, you know that the transition was not easy and I had serious second thoughts. Scarlett was miserable and I was a guilty wreck.

But Melly was such a sweet and happy little fluffball that she managed to charm us all and I could not be happier that she is here. Even Scarlett has mostly come around.

Happy gotcha day, my sweet Mellybean!

I had not read all the way back to the beginning of your blog so didn't know Melly came from Pitter Pat and Sue. What a wonderful connection that was made. I totally love Sue's blog, and Melly Bean too!!

Happy Gotcha Day and Blogoversary!!!!!

HOORAY!! Happy happy Gotcha Day, sweet girl! Your mama hit the nail on the head calling you "precocious"! That was you from day one.

I had actually blocked that initial transition from my memory bank. Yeah, it wasn't easy. But I'm so happy you landed where you did. I think even Scarlett doesn't mind too much.

Even though it's your special day, be nice to your sister!!

Miss Melly
We think you are as cute as they come. WE love love love your adorable ways. Momma is totally besotted by tuxie girls.
She understand about rocky roads...believe me it's still a bit rocky with me and Boo and we've been together for over 5 years. Mom has given up that we'll ever be true friends.
But Happy Gotcha Day sweetie.
We hope it was a great day for you.

Oh we are a day late but happy gotcha day Melly! We remember you on Pitter Pats and are so glad that we get to see you grow up too! And we are even more glad that you and Scarlett are getting along so much better! Boy it is amazing what a difference a year makes! It is funny because it doesn't seem like it has been a year, but it seems way longer too!

I'm glad you guys stuck it out. Just like Abby above, I've given up that my girls will ever be friends. Sometimes I guess it's just like that. I'm glad you girls get along the majority of the time!
